The Wall 2020 will be the first ever Ufton/Tirabad Drama Summer School alumni course and is offered as a workshop style refresher weekend.
Held over three days, the course is intended to offer former students of the Ufton (formerly Tirabad) Drama Summer School the chance to return to the performing arts.
The line-up for the staff is Ron Price along with current staff members, Peter Ging and George Ring, plus former tutors (and co-founders of the course), Claire Bowen and Jerry Strachan.
Sessions will be presented in a rolling workshop style with groups being tutored concurrently over the course of a day and will, as ever, be practical in delivery. Groups will work from the stimulus provided based on a theme of ‘The Wall’ and have an opportunity to work together on creating a short (2-minutes) piece which can be shown to the whole group on Sunday afternoon. The course is intended to give former students the chance to meet and work with a different range of people including staff and performers, to network with alumni members from other years and to offer a social event that can be enjoyed with others who have shared an experience of the summer school.
The course will take place at Ufton Court and accommodation is offered on the same basis as you would have experienced as a student…i.e. dormitory style.
The cost of the course will be £165 which includes your full board including meals and snacks plus the cost of tuition for the weekend.
Tickets for the weekend are strictly for previous course members and are for over-18s only. There are a limited number of tickets available and these will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis.
Alcohol will not be provided but you are welcome to bring your own for the Friday and Saturday night evening get togethers.
Once you have reserved your ticket, you will be sent an invoice for the full value of the course which should be paid by the end of June 2019.
